At Refuge we center everything we do around Jesus' greatest command, loving God and loving others. No matter who you are, you will always feel welcome and right at home at one of our services.

 

Mission

We exist to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in hopes of leading them into a relationship with Him!

Services

Our services are energetic, family-friendly, and above all, bible-centered. As our name indicates, we believe the Church should be a welcome Refuge to anyone. We strive to accept each other for who we are and seek to go where God leads us, through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Community

Our church family wants to communicate God's love and care to those who are struggling, to celebrate with those who are rejoicing, and to pray for and encourage one another at all times.

Location

We have been at 200 Marsh Lily Drive for over 10 years now starting back in July of 2013! But, as of November 1st, 2023 we have moved to 501 North River Road. This location is only a few minutes away from our previous, but if you need any help with directions feel free to contact us via email or phone!

Sunday

Currently we are doing 1 service on Sunday. Childcare and classes are available (optional) and we would love to have you join us at the times listed:

10:00 AM and we will be live on Facebook and YouTube at around 10:30 AM if you would rather attend the online service.

Wednesday

6:30 PM - Worship and Youth Group at our Church facilities

6:45 PM - Join us on Facebook Live

Childcare, Classes, and Youth Group

 

  • Rockers (newborn-2 year-olds)

  • Rollers (Pre-K)

  • Ramblers (K-2nd grade and 3rd-5th grade)

  • Our Refuge Youth Group, or RYG, meets on Wednesday nights at 6:00 in our Youth Facilities which are adjacent to the sanctuary, and is available for all students 6th through 12th grade.

 
 

About Our Pastor

 

Shane Roughton is the founder and Lead Pastor of Refuge Church. With a vision for reaching the world for Jesus and a passion to create a simple, authentic, and relevant place of worship, Refuge was launched on July 7, 2013.

From that passion and to God's glory, Refuge has grown from 75 attendees at its inception to a church that over 300 now call their home!

Shane has been married to his beautiful wife, Jessica, since May 17th, 2008. They have two amazing daughters, Zoey and Zaida.

In addition to ministry, he loves spending time with his family, working out and running, playing any and all sports especially golf, and is an avid fan of the University of Alabama... Roll Tide!
